Reports coming from Kaduna, indicates that the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in state Nasir El-Rufai was this morning attacked by Nigerian soldiers.
According to tweets from Muyiwa Adekeye attack happened at Ali Akilu Road/ Rabah Road junction.
Soldiers this morning attacked @elrufai at the junction of Ahmadu Bello Way & Rabah Road in Kaduna, seizing a gun from his police guards.

Adekeye said further: “Senior army officers intervened and defused the situation.
“The incident was witnessed by a crowd who are now following El-Rufai as he makes his way to Kawo.
“The seized police gun was returned to the ASP leading the police team.”
“Totally undue flexing of muscles by soldiers this morning. Kudos to the people of Kaduna who surrounded and accompanied El-Rufai up to Kawo,” he added.
Lagos State Police yesterday, February 5th, confirmed one death in a clash at Shitta, Surulere, during a campaign of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
